Reliable Operation of Distribution Grids Using Distributed and Renewable Energy Sources

The new solutions developed and tested in the SECVER research project can be used to stabilize the electric distribution grid continuously and reliably even when the power injected by distributed green power sources fluctuates. The consortium developed new approaches to this in the form of innovative algorithms and systems that monitor and control the grid. They will facilitate the creation of new methods that can be used to monitor distribution grids reliably and to forecast short- and medium-term system instabilities. The SECVER project focused on regional distribution grids (110 kV) and chiefly worked on grid observability and the control of renewables plants by using innovative ICT systems and protocols.
