The Fraunhofer IFF specializes in state-of-the-art applied research. Close contact to clients, comprehensive knowledge of markets and market trends and the exchange of information with business, research academic and political leaders are prerequisites for successful contract research.     From March 14-15, 2018 the fourth Fraunhofer Direct Digital Manufacturing Conference will be taking place in Berlin . The conference will cover the entire range of topics in additive manufacturing, starting with methodologies, design and simulation, right up to more application-specific topics, e.g. from the realm of medical engineering and electronics.

    Fraunhofer IFF at ERF 2018: Workshop »COVR – Shared Safety Facilities«

    The recently started EU project "COVR – Being safe around collaborative and versatile robots in shared spaces" understands that safety will continue to be a major barrier to more widespread robotics use unless regulations are easy to access, understand, and apply. To counter this, the COVR consortium, coordinated by the Danish Technological Institute (DTI) aims to provide a one-stop shop, which uses a common approach to safety assessment and is valid across all fields and applications.
