Safe Human-Robot Collaboration with Projector- and Camera-Based Technology

How can humans and robots collaborate safely, flexibly and interactively in a shared workspace? Our technology combines the advantages of cameras and projectors to generate a dynamic light curtain, minimizing safe distances and maximizing the flexibility of robot motions. Information overlays and interactive buttons for control and operation enhance the ergonomics and acceptance.

Multilayer Welding of Large Parts

Precision counts when welding large parts. Our demonstrator shows how a robot interactively plans and automatically performs multilayer welds. A tracking system helps with motion programming while sensors determine the optimal weld location without contact. This technology was developed in the INTAS project to make welding processes more efficient.

Intelligent Disassembly of Electronic Products for Remanufacturing and Recycling

How can disassembly and material separation of electronic devices be made more efficient to support a circular economy? The iDEAR project shows that automated disassembly is possible through advances in metrology, robotics, and artificial intelligence – not just for electronics, but for all remanufactured or recycled products. Join us in promoting sustainable growth!

Efficient Disassembly by AI-Enabled Robots

How can a robot disassemble end-of-life electronics reliably and efficiently? Our demonstrator shows how AI agents robustly execute force-controlled movements for complex disassembly tasks – even when information is incomplete. This technology being developed in the iDEAR research project is intended to optimize recycling processes by automating disassembly.

Digital Twins for Robotic Disassembly

How can the disassembly of products be automated? Digital twins represent and connect product, process and resource data relevant to disassembly processes and knowledge. This technology being developed in the iDEAR research project, is intended to make flexible Industry 4.0 disassembly systems possible, which can handle a wide range of products.

Real-Time Object Detection for Automated
Assembly and Disassembly

Robust and rapid detection and analysis of components is a key requirement of automated assembly and disassembly processes. Our demonstrator uses AI for real-time computer vision detection of objects, such as screws and other fasteners. The detection accuracy of the AI developed is high—even when objects are partially hidden.

Vendor Agnostic Robot Control for Intelligent Automation

Easily integrate complex robot tasks? Our Robot Control Box makes it possible. It combines efficient control algorithms with artificial intelligence for adaptive, force- and image-guided processes. Easily connected to existing industrial robots, it permits unified programming regardless of the manufacturer. The Robot Control Box ensures more flexibility and efficiency in your automated processes.

Making Human-Robot Collaboration Safe and Efficient

Collaborative robotics opens up new possibilities for manufacturing processes—if safety requirements are identified and factored in early on. Our approach helps plan separation distances and speeds efficiently, optimize cycle times and minimize space requirements, all based on our solutions for computer-aided safety.

The Bridge Between Factories and IT

Our IIoT platform connects machines, manufacturing facilities, and IT solutions in real time. The exhibit demonstrates how data from different systems are combined to optimize processes. The solution was developed in several research and development projects on the connectivity of industrial manufacturing facilities with each other and company IT, such as ERP or MES.
