Smart Assets in Smart Industrial Parks

Project Smart Services

The use of the latest wireless IoT technologies (tracking tags and sensors) in conjunction with VR and cloud technologies, big data analytics as well as new portable assistance systems and smart services is opening entirely new opportunities for industrial park operators and their clients (manufacturers). This also holds true for many medium-sized equipment suppliers, service providers and contractors that operate in chemical parks, supplying equipment and services for infrastructure and plants. New business models and services are also being created, e.g. by safety control and monitoring, environmental protection, smart logistics, life cycle data up through predictive maintenance services for smart equipment and objects. Approaches for medium-sized infrastructure/service providers and equipment suppliers to provide new technologies and services and develop new businesses are ideal in chemical parks with their high hazard potential, very high safety standards and high customer (i.e. complex chemical and petrochemical plant operators) demands.
